Calls for increased lane barriers on the Sea to Sky Highway (Highway 99) are growing, driven by safety advocates and local officials concerned about high-speed, head-on collisions.
“Talk about long overdue… It will prevent head-on collisions and those are the most catastrophic collisions you’re going to find in areas where the speed limit is higher than 80 km/h and there’s nothing to divide opposing trafic flow.”
