Former Traffic Officer Grant Gottgetreu shares his feedback on the Province’s rollback of the controversial intersection speeding program.
The government recently decided to delay the rollout of intersection speeding cameras so that they can gather more information on the behaviour of motorists.

When asked what exactly the government is looking for, this was his response.
“I have no idea because quite frankly what we are not getting from the government, which is shocking I know, is transparency. They are not telling us what the data is and what they are looking for. They are not even telling us what type of equipment they are using.”

“I am not too sure if this is a way for them to say that there are bugs with the system that they want to bring in for speed. Is there a problem with the system that they are bringing in? Is it not as reliable as I thought it would be because really, quite frankly, this is a great cash cow.”
